Position Summary:
Join our team at Children's Mercy - Camber Olathe Hospital as the Associate Director of Nursing (ADON) starting no earlier than July 1, 2024.
Location:
Olathe, Kansas
Pay:
$80,000 to $90,000
Based on experience and qualifications
Education:
Associate's degree in nursing required, BSN preferred
Requirements:
Valid driver's license
Valid auto insurance
Must be at least 21 years old
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas
ANCC certification as a psychiatric nurse is preferred.
Experience:
At least 2 years of prior experience or equivalent training in psychiatric nursing required.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite
Essential Duties:
Clinical Responsibilities:
Coordinates patient transfers in compliance with EMTALA/COBRA laws
Acts as liaison with contract pharmacy
Reviews clinical reports and oversees Infection Control Committee
Attends various administrative and improvement committees
Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and requirements
Supports recruitment, retention, and recognition efforts
Serves as on-call Administrator and for nursing staff during emergencies
Monitors staff activities, assists in training, and performs unit duties as needed
Supervisor Responsibilities:
Oversees staff in-service training and documentation
Manages nursing appointments, disciplinary actions, and other HR matters
Directly supervises nursing staff
Ensures compliance with policies and laws
Plans work assignments, conducts performance appraisals, and resolves issues
Upholds organizational values and promotes teamwork
Is fiscally responsible and supports best practices development with the leadership team.
