    Experience:3 years of experience in Software Engineering, integration and working with sensors and/or embedded devices or related.

    Requires skills and experience in the following:
    Strong programming skills in C++ and Python. Strong programming skills working across procedural, data-driven, and object oriented paradigms. Experience working with networking protocols, including TCP, UDP, CAN bus protocols, gRPC, HTTP. Demonstrated expertise working with large code bases. Deep understanding of platform development as it relates to autonomous driving software.

    Experience with performance evaluation and optimization, including analysis of the efficiency of existing software and modifying software systems to work more efficiently and execute more rapidly.

    Experience in analyzing hardware health monitoring frameworks as they relate to embedded sensors. Proficiency in designing and understanding complex software systems and interplay between system components. Working knowledge of time sensitive networking protocols PTP, and gPTP. Experience working with, integrating, and validating various sensors related to autonomous driving software (lidars, radars, and cameras). Experience with safety critical systems including self-driving vehicles and automotive industry.

    Job duties:
    Define vehicle compute and network architecture. Perform bring up of new vehicle platforms. Integrate new sensors and embedded devices and build interfaces for autonomy software. Process or interpret signals or sensor data. Address vehicle-specific concerns for vehicle runtime, e.g. vehicle stack configuration, networking stack configuration, performance, hardware health monitoring. Build, configure, or test robotic applications. Evolve the fleet from a collection of individual vehicles into a full-service platform with integrated metrics and monitoring. Optimize performance on CPU and GPU and other limited onboard hardware resources. Work with autonomy engineers to meet latency requirements for sensor data. Utilize HIL (hardware-in-the-loop) test infrastructure to automatically verify onboard code changes and profile performance. Provide engineering support for field-testing and fleet operations.
