    Job Summary:
    The Banquet Cook is integral to our culinary operations, especially during events, where precision and timeliness are paramount. This position requires a skilled individual who can prepare high-quality dishes under the direction of the Banquet Sous Chef, ensuring that every dish served meets the hotel's high standards. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for cooking and a proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

    Reports to: Banquet Sous Chef
    Employment Status: Full-Time
    Salary: Competitive Salary Based on Experience

    What You Have:
    • A culinary arts degree or equivalent from a reputable institution.
    • At least 2 years of experience in a high-volume, high-quality banquet or catering setting, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
    • Strong proficiency in a variety of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
    • Excellent knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and storage laws and regulations.
    • A demonstrated ability to follow recipes and cooking techniques exactly as specified.
    • Strong organizational skills, with a keen ability to prep and organize ingredients and materials for large-scale events.
    • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, according to event schedules.
    What You'll Do:
    • Collaboratively work under the guidance of the Banquet Sous Chef to prepare and execute menu items for events.
    • Ensure all dishes are cooked, assembled, and presented according to specific recipes and presentation standards.
    • Manage food inventories and kitchen supplies, ensuring that all items are available as needed for events.
    • Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and storage areas at all times.
    • Monitor equipment and kitchen tools for functionality and cleanliness.
    • Rapidly and efficiently handle any food preparation tasks as assigned by the Banquet Sous Chef.
    • Participate actively in team meetings and training sessions to improve culinary skills and kitchen operations.
    • Contribute to menu planning and the creation of new dishes for banquet events, bringing creativity and innovation to the table.
    Physical Demands:
    • Continual standing and walking during shifts.
    • Regular lifting, carrying, and positioning of heavy kitchen equipment and food supplies, up to 50 pounds.
    • Operating in a fast-paced and sometimes confined space.
    Mental Demands:
    • High level of attention to detail and precision in culinary tasks.
    • Ability to multitask effectively, managing several tasks at once without losing focus.
    • Capacity to work under pressure, managing stress effectively during busy periods.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to adapt to immediate needs or changes during events.
