Job summary
The purpose of this position is to provide instructional support to the English Language teacher (EL) and classroom teachers assisting in supporting the instruction of ELs in the classroom; bridging communication between home and school respecting dual language/dual cultural experiences.The bilingual Instructional Assistant will assist students transition into a new school environment make parent contacts supply appropriate documentation as directed by the EL teacher or principal follow district policy procedure.
This role requires working collaboratively with classroom teachers providing academic assistance to EL students following support schedule outlined participating training sessions such as blood borne pathogens medication administration CPR first aid etc.
