Summary:
The Assistant Finance Manager will help manage the fiscal operations of the agency to ensure the proper safeguarding of agency assets.
Essential job duties/responsibilities of the Assistant Finance Manager include, but are not limited to the following:
Performs general accounting.
Assists Finance Director in all aspects of Fiscal Operations
Processes Bi-weekly Payroll distributes year end tax documents
Administers Agency Retirement Plan and makes sure it is in compliance with ERISA
Helps process all fiscal fund/grant reporting.
Processes deposits for senior housing.
Processes drawdowns from LOC – (Head Start Program).
Assists in the monitoring of expenditures of approved budgets for all programs.
Adhere to Piedmont Community Actions, Inc. and Head Start's policies, procedures and guidelines.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
:

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four year college or university in accounting or equivalent; or five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills –
Ability to use or demonstrate advanced mathematical skills
Reasoning Ability
– Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Computer Skills
– To perform this job successfully, an individual must have excellent knowledge of the DBA system or database software and basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office application like word processing, PowerPoint, excel and outlook;
