    Job DescriptionA growing full-service law firm with multiple offices throughout North Carolina is seeking a Creditors' Rights Paralegal. The right candidate can live in Greenville, Wilmington or New Bern. This position allows some flexibility to, but it is largely an in-office role. Offers a great environment, opportunity to grow, competitive compensation with potential for a nice sign-on bonus
    WHAT YOU WILL DO:
    • Monitor bankruptcy dockets and email notifications
    • Draft legal documentation like pleadings in State and Federal Court, discovery, motions, notices, forbearance and loan modification agreements, and other case-related documentation
    • File and serve State and Federal civil actions, bankruptcy notices of appearance, proofs of claim, motions, objections, ballots and any other case-related pleadings
    • Scheduling, calendaring, docketing and prepare for hearings

    WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
    • 2+ years experience with the creditor side of bankruptcy
    • Experience with civil litigation at the federal and state levels
    • Working knowledge of state and federal court systems and the ability to understand and follow Rules of court
    • The successful candidate will have excellent math, English, writing and grammar skills
    • Must be organized, deadline oriented and able to work in fast paced environment
    • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel a must
