Job summary
The overall purpose of the Lifestyle Director position is to provide opportunities for patients/residents to engage in meaningful social and diversified special interest programs based upon needs, interests, capabilities,and previous lifestyles. This position must coordinate, develop,and maintain quality programs that provide mental and physical stimulation to the patients/residents utilizing staff expertise and family and/or community resources.
- A current and valid certificate as a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or a licensed activities professional in the state of Texas.
- Two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last five years, one of which was full-time in a patient/resident activities program in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to read write and speak English language.
