Job summary
The Manufacturing Supervisor supports all aspects of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) of assigned production Value Streams. They lead and coach direct employees and interact with various stakeholders to carry out duties and responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Strives to exemplify Albany's core values of Safety, Accountability, Fact Based Persistence Respect Ethics Put safety first at all times never compromise on safety for the obtainment of other objectives Responsible for health and safety of themselves coworkers Develops strategies budgets to achieve operational goals within work cell in areas of SQDC Implements champions Lean Manufacturing practices within work cell Drive continuous improvements in areas SQDC Ensures operational goals are met in areas SQDC Responsible for housekeeping organization 5S of the work cell Observes supports contributes Company safety programs policies initiatives Implement continually monitors safe work practices manufacturing cell Conduct required safety environmental audits 5S audits JHA assessments identifies hazards assures that all other employees follow safe work practices Use manpower equipment material resources to achieve manufacturing cells productivity goal s Ensure flexible workforce through cross training Implement maintain display visual management KPI s within manufacturing cell consistent with those defined at value stream level Ensure flow subcomponents through the cell bottle necks Write QNs well as works with Quality Engineers clear parts from QN as needed Provide direction workers assigned to the work sell coordinate vacation lunch break coverage overtime coverage as approved Troubleshoot assist solving production problems using root cause analysis tools appropriate Coordinate monitor training new current employees VSLTraining Coordinator meet business requirements Ensure raw materials general supplies present each station surplus materials properly stored Ensure completed production traceability documentation present each station Coordinate establishment implementation sustainment TPM Total Productive Maintenance within the selling Perform required transactions SAPMII system APN MII Plant One Execute conduct employee performance reviews Review approve time attendance employees manufactured cells Follow Leader Standard Work ensure compliance standard Work Proper procedures followed during Safety Incidents Evacuation Inclement Weather Works Human Resources execute staffing plans Including interviewing selection process Actively manage employee performance including progressive discipline required Nothing document restricts managements right assign reassign duties responsibilities job any time Supervisory responsibility Yes Supervisors responsible overseeing their group formal evaluationsperformance management set by organization recruitment developing
