    As a Software Developer - Technical Manager, you will:

  • We are seeking an ambitious software engineering professional to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible to coach, support, train, and motivate team members to ensure a high level of performance.
  • This position will be responsible for personnel management of a software team to include performance assessment, career development guidance, program assignments, merit and salary actions, training plans, staffing and recruiting.
  • This role is anticipated to be 75% performing in a technical role and 25% coverage performing the duties associated with this position.

  • Defining team roles and responsibilities ensuring expectations are clear.
  • Establishing performance standards and evaluating performance.
  • Supporting engineers in meeting their commitments.

  • Leading/supporting technical reviews and guidance as needed.

  • Collaborating with peers and direct management in resource planning and hiring activities.
  • Technical/Functional skills:
  • Experience supporting military or defense programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues and predict potential programmatic and technical risks.
  • Strong follow-up skills with attention to detail.
  • Clear and concise communication in both written and verbal form.
  • Assertive problem-solving, negotiations, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to be diplomatic or firm, when necessary, to move business forward or obtain results.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with confidence and ease.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload across multiple groups.

  • Proven experience with the software development lifecycle.
  • Proven track record of building relationships, fostering collaboration and working cross[1]functionally with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience using earned value management systems to manage a team's cost and schedule performance.
  • The ideal candidate will have:
  • Active Secret Clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other technical field or equivalent education and work experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years software development experience.
  • Demonstrated success in prior leadership roles, with 3-5 years leadership experience.
  • Experience in an Agile/SAFe leadership role (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Release Train Engineer, e.g.)
  • Candidate must be a strategic, forward thinker with a can-do attitude.
  • High desire to provide customer satisfaction.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • 15+ years of software development experience.
  • Proven ability recruiting top talent.

    PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
    Salary Range*:$140K-$150K per year.
    *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
