Job summary
Under direct supervision the Autopsy Assistant will assist with autopsy cases and provides general support to Forensic Pathologists Forensic Pathologist Assistants and other staff.Responsibilities
- Assist with the collection inventory and preservation of valuables personal belongings and other materials for case documentation and for legal chain of custody and preservation of evidence.
- Assist with preparing spaces for autopsies by laying out supplies and instruments and documenting handling materials during and after the autopsy process.
- Assist or perform aspects of dissection during the autopsy procedure.
