    American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist with experience in peripheral vascular work, embolization, and venous thrombectomy procedures for a 13-week travel assignment in Illinois.

    Responsibilities

    • Cath and vascular interventional radiology setting at an acute care hospital
    • Procedures include cardiac cath (left/right heart cath, pericardiocentesis, coronary stenting), structural heart interventions (TAVR, Watchman, Mitraclip, Triclip, ASD/PFO, CardioMEMs), and hybrid peripheral vascular work (EVAR, TCAR, TEVAR)
    • Adjunctive tools and techniques include ICUS, FFR/iFR, lithotripsy, laser, Rota, Impella, IABP, OCT, and CTO
    • Experience with peripheral vascular work, venous central lines, tube changes, embolization (arterial and venous), and venous thrombectomy is required
    • Neuro experience is preferred
    • Epic EMR is used; experience required
    • 4x9-hour day shifts, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
    • 36 hours per week
    • On-call duties required; candidates are expected to be taking call within 6 months of start
    • Administer contrast material via existing vascular access, recognize and respond to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions, and assess patients for allergies prior to procedures
    • Perform cardiac cath lab procedures including structural heart and hybrid peripheral vascular cases in coordination with vascular surgery
    • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure correct patient identification, diagnosis, and treatment positioning
    • Assist with inventory, supply pulls, and instruction of new staff as needed
    • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
    • RTO is not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
    • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility are subject to a policy requiring either conversion or a 6-month break in service after 1 year of continuous assignment before returning to any location within the health system

    Requirements

    • Associate's Degree or Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology
    • Current BLS and ACLS (AHA)
    • ARRT registration in Radiography (R)
    • Illinois IEMA Radiologic Technologist license required; license required if applicable
    • Epic EMR experience required
    • Level 1 Trauma experience required
    • Experience with peripheral vascular procedures, venous central lines, tube changes, embolization (arterial/venous), and venous thrombectomy
    • English proficiency required (speaking, reading, and writing)
    • Must be able to work within and maintain a sterile field during procedures
