- Rooming Patients: Escort patients to examination rooms, take vital signs, and ensure they are comfortable.
- EPIC Charting: Accurately document patient information in the electronic health record system (EPIC).
- Administrative Paperwork: Assist physicians with paperwork, including referrals, prescriptions, and medical forms.
- Answering Phones: Handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries.
- Scheduling Appointments: Coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals.
- Healthcare Experience: Apply your knowledge of medical terminology and procedures to support patient care.
- Strong Scheduling Skills: Efficiently manage appointment schedules and optimize patient flow.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accurate documentation and follow protocols.
- Surgery Scheduling: Familiarity with surgery scheduling processes is a plus.
- Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Assisting Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a medical office setting.
- MA-C Licensure: Valid Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) license from the Washington State Department of Health (WA DOH).
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- EPIC or Nextgen Familiarity: Experience with EPIC or Nextgen electronic health record systems preferred.
- Excellent Customer Service: Compassionate and patient-focused communication skills.
- Workload Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
