    Job Title: Nurse Aide in Training

    The Nurse Aide in Training program at Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Harlingen offers a unique opportunity for individuals to receive both online and on-floor training as a Nurse Aide. To be eligible for this program, employees must demonstrate excellent customer service skills, be reliable, work well in a team environment, and possess a strong work ethic.

    In addition to receiving comprehensive training, participants in the Nurse Aide in Training program are also eligible for Education Assistance to become a Certified Nurse Aide. This assistance is provided at no cost to the employee and can be taken through one of several avenues, including:

    • Classes held on or offsite at a Regency location
    • A local program offered by a community college or technical school
    • An internship with a waiver to skip classes but complete a skills check and practice exam provided by the facility

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work under the direction of Charge Nurses to provide assigned residents with assistance for activities of daily living as outlined in their customized care plan
    • Provide comfort and safety to residents, detecting and reporting situations that may cause resident accidents or injuries
    • Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with resident care policy and procedure
    • Assist with customary daily requirements and tasks in care and treatment, such as bathing, feeding, dressing, observing intake of food, care of hair, nails, moving residents from area to area, lifting, and transferring

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED (highly preferred)
    • Experience as a caregiver (preferred)
    • Good communication skills

    Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $55,000 per year
