JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Substance Abuse Counselor will provide alcoholism and substance abuse counseling services in approved work settings. The Counselor provides comprehensive assessment services to clients who may have substance abuse barriers to employment by applying clinical judgment to determine appropriate treatment needs and levels of care.

REQUIREMENTS:

-Valid NYS license in a related area: licensed Mental Health Counselor LMHC, License Social Worker (MSW, LCSW) or CASAC or CASAC-T certification required

-Must have 1 year of experience in an OASAS program

-Excellent organizational and communication skills
