    Job DescriptionTier 1 Automotive Supplier looking for Machine Tool Builder in Sterling Heights, MI 1st and 2nd shift availability

    1st Shift: 6am-4pm

    2nd Shift: 4pm-2am


    Pay:
    $18-28 based off class and experience


    The Machine Builder is responsible for building machinery and associated equipment used primarily within robotic/automated assembly lines for the automotive industry.

    The Machine Builder will be able to read and understand mechanical blueprints.

    Responsibilities and Duties of Machine Builder:
    Plans and constructs highly intricate tools, fixtures, gauges, to extremely close tolerances.
    Must be able to perform complete progressive hand and machine operations.
    Able to determine assembly process from mechanical blueprints
    Install fence
    Snap chalk lines and install floor plates
    Install cable tray
    Install sealer equipment and camera stations
    Install tooling
    Install framing system
    Install light screens and gate keys
    Read mechanical blueprints and bill of material
    Assemble units
    Ability to drill, tap and ream holes
    Use of hand saw, drill press and grinders
    Understands and follows safety & environmental regulations and identifies safety/environmental concerns.
    Operate various machine tools and equipment

    Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner and know how to properly lock out all energy sources, including stored energy.

    Follow all safety rules, standards, and procedures at all times in all areas.

    Know what types of Personal Protective Equipment are required for the jobs in your area and always use them properly.

    Ensure that your work area is kept clean, tidy and organized at all times to prevent accidents and produce quality products.

    Qualifications of Machine Builder
    Must be able to use hand tools
    Ability to read/interpret mechanical blueprints accurately
    Ability to work as a team member and individually
    Ability to manage multiple tasks within the trade
    Must have own tools
    Good communication skills
    Good mathematical skills
