Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Acoustics Signature Data Analyst to join our team in Bethesda, MD. The position is Part Time On Call (PTOC).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Supports physical principles of acoustics, sound propagation, signal processing, and radiated noise acoustic signature data measurement methodology and physics.
Supports submarine radiated noise signatures, identifying noise sources, decomposing and recomposing radiated noise signatures, analysis techniques and using numerical methods to predict radiated noise signatures.
Provides tactical equipment acoustic updates using current ship silencing technology from real world acoustic data.

Basic Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physics or applicable acoustics field.
15+ years of experience in an engineering related position including task management, data analysis, technical report writing, generation and presentation of command level briefings.

Preferred Qualifications:

Expert knowledge of physical principles of acoustics, sound propagation, signal processing, and radiated noise acoustic signature data measurement methodology and physics.
Expert knowledge of submarine radiated noise signatures, identifying noise sources, decomposing and recomposing radiated noise signatures, analysis techniques and using numerical methods to predict radiated noise signatures.
Extensive experience in full-scale submarine acoustic signature measurement data.
Knowledge of current ship silencing technology, design, operation, and maintenance
Familiarity of NAVSEA/NSWCCD underwater radiated noise data formats and Acoustic Trial electronic data products.
Expert understanding of NSWCCD acoustic signatures database and US Navy submarine acoustic signatures.

Security Clearance Requirements:Active Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
