    Plans and directs activities related with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards, customer satisfaction, and operating systems compliance by performing the following duties.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    ·

    Working knowledge of GD&T with the ability to interpret dimensional layouts and evaluation of production parts, samples, and prototypes as required by the quality system
    ·

    Experience with AIAG core tools, PPAP, APQP, MSA & SPC, FMEA
    ·

    Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving; ability to obtain and use data to drive solutions
    ·

    Strong corrective action skills, able to lead a cross functional team and follow the issue to closure using 8D problem solving tools such as; 5Y, Ishikawa, Kepner-Tregoe, etc
    ·


    Knowledge of all the Quality tools (DOE, SPC, Pareto Charts, Cause & Effect Analysis, Minitab, etc) and the deployment of these tools in continuous improvement initiatives.

    ·

    Responsible for investigating internal concerns along with external customer concerns, implementing corrective action and validating the root cause as needed
    ·

    Proactively investigate ways to improve the process to reduce waste, scrap and customer concerns.
    ·

    Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
    ·

    Maintain an 8D log and continuous improvement system to resolve customer issues and prevent recurrence
    ·

    Travel to Customers / Suppliers when required for problem solving and containment activities.
    ·

    Provide feedback on dimensional concerns to tool room, engineering and manufacturing
    ·

    Work with production associates to assure the proper usage of measurement instruments on the production floor
    ·

    Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times
    ·

    Implement/Audit IATF policies and procedures
    ·

    To perform other related duties as assigned
    ·

    Working safely as a condition of employment

    Metal stamping and/or weld assembly exposure

    Education/Experience/Certifications:
    To effectively carry out duties and responsibilities in the job position the following education, experience, or certifications are preferred:

    Education:
    ·

    Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study from four year college or university, required

    Experience:
    ·

    Two (2) or more years of experience working in the Quality function

    in a manufacturing environment, preferred
    ·

    Two (2) or more years of experience working in a fast paced automotive (OEM/Supplier) environment, preferred
    ·

    Experience working through the IATF certification and audit process, preferred

    Additional Skills Required:

    Computer skills :
    ·

    Experience with basic computer systems and Plex

    Communication skills:
    ·

    Strong Communication skills; written and verbal
    ·

    Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.
    ·

    Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

    Mathematical skills:
    ·

    Apply mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as basic algebra

    Other Skills:

    Detail oriented

    Organized and able to meet deadlines while performing multiple duties

    Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist
