phia is currently seeking a

Cyber Systems Engineer

to support cyber defense operations at a large Federal agency.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in deploying, managing and continually enhancing the applications and infrastructure that support agency cyber operations.

While this opportunity is contingent upon contract award, we welcome the start of a conversation now Hybrid flexibility within the DMV (DC/MD/VA) Metro area.

What You'll Do:

Support a team of engineers performing:

Platform/Endpoint Management
Hardware Asset

Management

Web Application Scanning Tool Support
Data Visualization Tool Support
Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) Tool Support

Provide endpoint management expertise, focused around operating and managing the organization's HCL BigFix platform and sub-modules. Perform deployment/installation, configuration integration, and operations & maintenance. Create and deploy fixlets, and manage software distribution.
Implement automation of common administrative tasks via scripting (PowerShell, python, *nix shells, etc.).

Deploy and support hardware asset management network security tools, with a focus on products such as CounterACT and/or Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE).

Support complete lifecycle processes, methodologies, and execution of best practices to deploy, optimize, and troubleshoot within the Hardware Asset portfolio.

Manage and maintain the web vulnerability scanning software within organization. Support the installation, configuration, and administration of software platforms to identify and assess vulnerabilities in web applications and websites. Provide guidance and support in managing scan targets and customizing scan settings to align with the organization's security requirements
Manage and maintain the data visualization software. Support the installation, configuration, and administration of data visualization platforms such as Elastic/Kibana, Tableau, or others.

Collect and clean data, analyze data to identify trends and patterns, design and develop interactive dashboards or infographics, and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Deploy and support Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) technologies, with a focus on Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE). Configure, manage, and complete performance tuning of the MDE platform. Monitor and analyze endpoint security events, detection rules, investigate and respond to security incidents, and implement security controls and policies
Education + Experience

7 years of related professional experience, or
AA/AS degree + 5 years of related experience, or
BA/BS degree + 3 year of related experience
Required Certifications

Microsoft security technology certification (e.g., Microsoft 365 Security Administrator)
Security Clearance

U.S. citizenship
Ability to achieve Public Trust or higher
Desired

IBM/HCL BigFix related certifications (e.g. BigFix Lifecycle, BigFix Platform, BigFix Compliance)
CounterACT or Forescout certifications (CounterACT Administrator, Certified ForeScout Administrator (FSCA), etc.)
Data Visualization technology certifications (Elastic/Kibana, Tableau, etc.)
Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) related certification

Microsoft Certified:
Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate

Microsoft Certified:
Security Operations Analyst Associate
