- Perform welding, grinding, operate cranes, machining, & fabrication.
- Smooths flat and contoured surfaces using power grinders, fits, and assembles parts together and into assemblies and mechanisms.
- Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances.
- Perform machining, finishing, assembly and tuning of dies.
- Carry out emergency repairs if any issues arise.
- Perform die modifications for surface quality and accuracy.
- Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, shaper, and grinder, to machine parts, and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications.
- Work in a team setting.
- Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances.
- Adhere to ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 procedures and work instructions.
- Log daily book entries to communicate activities, issues and progress of die work.
- Other duties as assigned by the Die Maintenance Supervisor / Maintenance Manager.
- Strong technical capacity to perform required repairs / maintenance while following safety protocol
- Ability to be licensed to operate powered industrial equipment.
- Troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Experience building and/or maintaining high volume casting (or stamping) dies, welding ability, and machining.
- Experience in industrial maintenance and/or military experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required), Technical Degree preferred.
- Some electrical and mechanical knowledge
- Demonstrated success in troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Technical knowledge and skills in the following areas: Tool & Die, Welding, Machining.
- Strong mechanical and shop math aptitude (preferred).
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.
- (LOTO) Lockout / Tag-out.
- Perform all work in an ethical manner.
- Adhere to attendance policy.
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
