    Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.

    Soliant is working with a high school near Apple Valley, CA, and is seeking a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for this school year.

    In addition to provide speech therapy, conduct evaluations, case manage and participate in IEP meetings, candidates will also be responsible for supervising on-site Speech-Language Pathology Assistants.

    Additional information about the District, and the building assignments, will be shared in a direct interview with school administrators, following a successful phone screening with Soliant representatives.

    Requirements:

    • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
    • California Speech-Language Pathology License
    • Ability to supervise SLPAs--applicants will need to complete Continuing Education relating to the supervision of assistants, and register SLPAs under their license

    As a school-based SLP, you will:

    • Assess new students transferred into the District, or re-assess students in accordance with their evaluation schedules
    • Determine student eligibility for speech services, or dismissing students who do not need further speech support.
    • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
    • Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
    • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
    • Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
    • Provide reports of a students progress to parents.
    • Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
    • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
