Description

We are looking for a Survey CAD Technician to join our team! As a key member, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, from creating construction staking point files to generating digital terrain models. You'll work closely with experienced survey professionals, under the guidance of a licensed Professional Land Surveyor.

Key Requirements:

Previous experience in land survey or engineering is a plus.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must, familiarity with Carlson Software is advantageous.
Capability to interpret construction plans for field layout data generation.
Holding a Drone Pilot license would be beneficial.
Characteristics we value: honesty, dependability, thoroughness, and a strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Solid computation skills are a must.
Preferably, an Associate degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or CAD Drafting.
Familiarity with land surveying field equipment is an asset.

Responsibilities:

Creating stakeout notes and point files for various construction projects.
Generating As-built, Boundary, Tree, and Topographic Surveys Plats.
Developing digital terrain models and performing contouring.
Researching legal and survey records for property boundary information.
Understanding plans and specifications.
Conducting earthwork volume calculations.
Being self-motivated, organized, and possessing good decision-making skills.
Client and public landowner interaction on behalf of the Company.
Adaptability to change and flexibility.
Carrying out assigned duties efficiently.
