    Employees receive 75 work days annually to work remote The initial amount of days is prorated for the first year based on start date.


    GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:


    The Director, Project Management, provides strategic leadership to plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure the goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

    Interacts and interface with workstream and business owners across, Design Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, IT, Product, Finance, Legal, and beyond to define, plan, and execute programs that support the strategic goals of the organization.

    This role is critical to the organization with setting the stage and starting the process to support all products, across all categories across all our Global Supply Chain.


    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
    Strategic LeadershipAdminister the OEM project management program, directing the planning, scheduling, and coordination of department activities.

    Create discipline around process and ensure consistency from project to project in the MOS system supported by leader standard work.

    Responsibility for all aspects of the project over the entire project life (initiate, plan, execute, control, close).

    Must be familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.

    Review the project proposal or plan to accurately determine the time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of a project.

    Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of the project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.

    Confers with project staff to outline work plans and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
    Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
    Coordinates with Engineering and Manufacturing managers to plan production projects in a master project schedule.
    Establish daily Tier meetings to support communication structure for escalations and feedback in program risk items.
    Communicate project updates to the Executive Team at predefined milestones and defined intervals.

    Oversee the general day-to-day execution of project activities and planning to ensure on-time completion of project tasks and deliverables as scheduled.

    Develop, and manage all department KPIs for all assigned projects.
    Financial ManagementPrepare, manage, and ensure compliance with department budget.

    Ensure adherence to approved budgets &/or business plansDirect and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure the project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.

    Leadership and Talent DevelopmentHire, manage, recruit, and develop a team of talented project managers.
    Manage and mentor project management team and ensure PM best practices and processes are in place.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:
    Bachelor's Degree or higher in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or other technical field


    Experience:

    8+ years experience in Engineering Project Management with a proven track record of successfully managing projects to completion.

    At least 6 years of experience leading project management professionals.*Or 10+ years of equivalent combination of education and experience with progressive manufacturing or engineering leadership experience.

    Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work successfully across multiple business disciplinesSkilled in simplifying complex, communicating with technical and non-technical team members effectivelyComfortable with change and ambiguity with the ability to quickly propose solutions given limited guidance.


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:
    Master's degree in Engineering or Business

    Experience:

    15+ years of Project Manager and PM certification.

    Experience in heavy equipment manufacturing and/or international operations, Involvement in a Safety Program or safety-focused organization, and Knowledge of compliance standards for regulated industries.

    PMP certification is a plus.
