DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Operating Room Manager (RN) to lead day-to-day OR operations with a focus on patient safety, clinical excellence, and efficient use of resources. This role provides leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for operating room services while fostering a collaborative, team-based environment. The OR Manager is accountable for quality of care, staffing, budgeting, compliance, and staff development across the surgical department.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, direct, and supervise all operating room services and patient care activities
- Ensure adherence to surgical schedules, policies, procedures, and standards of care
- Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and staff development
- Verify employee credentials and maintain required licensure and certifications
- Define and maintain standards of nursing practice in the operating room
- Serve as a patient advocate and safety monitor during surgical procedures
- Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and other departments to enhance patient care and staff development
- Plan, develop, and manage the OR budget; monitor cost-effectiveness and resource utilization
- Ensure proper function, maintenance, and cost-conscious use of equipment and supplies
- Initiate and maintain policies and procedures governing nursing and OR services
- Foster a positive, efficient work environment and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Represent the center in meetings, committees, and professional nursing organizations
- Support quality improvement initiatives and research efforts that enhance nursing practice
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to Universal Precautions
- Maintain regular, predictable on-site attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN), preferred
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
- Five (5) years of operating room nursing experience
- Two (2) years of clinical supervisory experience in a surgical setting
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- CNOR certification, preferred
- PALS certification, preferred
