    Position Overview:

    Supports company quality standards by checking and measuring parts and assemblies for compliance with job documents.

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

    · Reads blueprints and travelers to understand what aspect of the job needs to be inspected.

    · Determine the proper measurement tool required depending on the feature and tolerance being measured.

    · Measure and/or check the parts with the appropriate measuring tools to confirm they are within specification.

    · Sign off traveler when parts are acceptable.

    · When appropriate follow instructions or procedures for measurement.

    · Install fixtures, load parts and run metrology programs on CMM's.

    · Fill out quality forms as required.

    · Maintain open communication with the CNC operator, supervisor and management regarding jobs status, problems or any changes to work in process.

    · Be observant for changes in the parts being measured to notice trends of declining quality or indications of problems.

    · Maintain ISO forms during free time.

    · Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

    · Keep work areas organized and clean.

    · Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.

    · Other duties as needed or required.
