    ReGeneration Schools, founded in 2016, is a nationally ranked charter program with seven charter schools located in Illinois and Ohio. ReGeneration serves over 1800 students of whom 99% are minority and 86% are low income. U.S. News and World Report's 2021 School Ranking listed all ReGeneration elementary schools among the top ten charter elementary schools in Illinois. ReGeneration expanded to Ohio in 2019, opening its Bond Hill campus in 2019. ReGeneration is expanding in Ohio adding two more campuses effective July 2023.

Through rigorous academics, teaching excellence, character development, and high expectations, ReGeneration is nurturing the leaders of tomorrow.

    We are seeking an experienced full-time Art Teacher to join our team. This individual must have a proven track record of providing excellent learning experiences that utilize instructional strategies that deepens students' understanding and appreciation for the arts. This individual will also collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate learning across curriculums.

    Qualifications:

    • Believes low-income students can become college and career ready.
    • High expectations on personal and team performance.
    • Flexible to changing priorities and conditions.
    • Demonstrate initiative and creativity.
    • Organized, ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
    • Communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • Demonstrate mastery of physical education and behavioral interventions.
    • 1-5 years of teaching experience in an urban setting.
    • Can show proof of full vaccination for Covid-19
    • Valid Illinois State Certification Professional Educator License (PEL) required.
    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide instruction by which students develop aesthetic concepts/appreciations and the ability to make qualitative judgments about the arts.
    • Collaborate with teachers and other specialists in developing student programs that promote commonalities, distinctions, and connections in and among the fine arts.
    • Implement instructional plans and organize class time to provide a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and working time.
    • Coordinate performances/displays and student assemblies throughout the school year.
    • Adhere to and support all school policies to enforce school core values, high expectations, and strict code of conduct.
    • Model and encourage appropriate student behavior (i.e. grit, self-control, social intelligence, optimism and curiosity).
    • Work with the school team to constantly evaluate and improve mastery of instructional, culture building, and leadership skills.
    • Maintain a classroom that demonstrates discipline, order and rigor.
    • Reflect critically on teaching practice and implement improvement strategies as needed.
    • Participate in mandatory summer orientation (3 weeks) and training.
    • Other duties as assigned
