- Handles incoming and outgoing correspondence for the transportation department including confidential matters as necessary
- Performs multiple duties including, but not limited to phone duties, radio duties, filing, and pulling tapes
- Organize field trips
- Experience in Versatrans a plus
- Assign buses for afternoon routes
- Maintains office equipment such as copy machines, fax machines and printers.
- Strong interpersonal skills is a must.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written essential.
- Availability 12 months a year with excellent attendance required.
- Ability to maintain confidential highly sensitive information.
- Strong command of Access, Excel and District information systems required.
- Must be highly organized and a self-starter.
- Strong computation and analytical skills required.
- Excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues and administration. Ability to read and interpret documents such as reference manuals, Board policies and procedures manuals. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from students, parents, agencies, teachers or members of the school community. Ability to effectively present information to administration, staff and the public.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Experience using the district selected computer software is required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents and community. Ability to speak clearly and concisely in written or oral communication. Ability to use computers where applicable. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
