    Duke, Holzman, Photiadis & Gresens, LLP is a law firm with an office in Buffalo's Larkinville District, providing services to clients in the areas of business and corporate law, civil litigation, construction law, trusts and estates, first-party insurance coverage, labor and employment, personal injury, real estate and environmental and taxation. The legal assistant will provide legal support to attorneys in a fast-paced environment, and must be able to work both independently and as part of the team. Applicants should have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a legal office setting.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Schedule meetings, depositions, and interviews
    • Investigate facts regarding cases
    • Maintain client files
    • Prepare pleadings, discovery demands and responses, motions, and other litigation documents
    • File and serve legal documents
    • Prepare client bills
    • Communicate with clients over the phone, in writing and in person.
    • Work professionally and collaboratively with colleagues, judges, opposing counsel, court personnel, etc.
    • Attend and participate in meetings and trainings as requested

    Job Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, paralegal certificate, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
    • Prior office experience, preferably in a legal environment
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software
    • Willingness to learn new technology

    Compensation

    Estimated hourly compensation range is $22 to $28, dependent on experience, plus discretionary year-end bonus. The firm offers a generous benefit package, including: Medical, Vision, Dental, 401(k), Vacation, Sick/Safe Leave, Parental Leave, Bereavement Leave, Jury Duty Leave, and Parking.
