Injection Molding Process Engineer - Saline, United States - GUIDED SEARCH PARTNERS

Description

In this position, you will support the Injection Molding Business Unit to improve current model molding operations as well as integrate new model programs into production.

Responsibilities:

Identify and implement initiatives to meet or exceed established KPIs for business unit operations, including safety, quality, scrap, and performance metrics.

Participate in quality stand-down for customer concerns, use problem solving tools such as corrective action process, 8D, 5Why, Fishbone Diagrams, Design of Experiment (DOE), etc to help identify root cause, and support team in implementing permanent corrective actions.

Assist with tooling and equipment trials.

Support Purchasing and Supplier Quality with improvements to the processes related to outside processors.

Assist in development and maintenance of lessons learned for process improvements and best practices.

Work with project engineers and designers to enhance the manufacturability of products. Implement Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/A) to ensure designs meet all tooling, equipment, and process standards

Work with the global organization for commonization and optimization of all manufacturing processes and standards.

Preferred Experience

5-10 experience in manufacturing environment

Previous Injection Molding experience

BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
