- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, server hardware, and software applications.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
- Implement and enforce network security measures.
- Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues.
- Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets and user-reported problems.
- Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Test and verify backups regularly.
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Perform regular security audits and updates to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Coordinate and apply software updates and patches to servers and workstations.
- Ensure that systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Develop and update IT infrastructure documentation.
- Monitor system resources and plan for capacity expansion as needed.
- US Citizen
- Public Trust Security Clearance or be eligible to obtain.
- IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE equivalent or higher).
- AA/AS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts or Four (4+) years of relevant experience.
- Tier 2 customer support experience.
- Experience in design, development, testing, evaluation, network protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and UNIX/Windows-based operating systems.
- Experience implementing security measures and monitoring systems for potential threats.
- Public Trust Security Clearance.
- Software Engineering Master (PSEM)/ Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) with COR approval complete a vendor/platform-specific certification: Certified Information Systems Security
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
