- Utilizes the nursing process by demonstrating appropriate assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of residents wound and skin integrity
- Collecting and documentation of residents' skin status including medical history.
- Wound care prevention and prevention through plan of care
- Sets priorities for nursing action for wound care and prevention
- Communicates with physicians regarding resident wound needs
- Initiates nutritional interventions to ensure that residents with wounds are provided nutrition to promote wound healing.
- Performs direct resident care utilizing established procedure, policies, and standards
- Administer treatments and procedures in accordance with the physician's orders
- Maintains the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each residents while performing treatments
- Communicates and interacts effectively, courteously, and tactfully with residents, visitors,
- Conducts rounds frequently to ensure that residents with incontinence are receiving pericare
- Performs duties in a safe manner in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Performs all job responsibilities in accordance with prescribed safety and infection control
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (RN or LPN)
- Must possess a current and unencumbered Licensed Professional Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state the facility resides in (or a compact license)
