    Summary of Essential Job Functions:
    As the Sanitation Manager you report directly to the Plant Manager and are responsible for monitoring and ensuring proper sanitation throughout the facility.
    Abilities Required:

    • Must have sanitation supervisory experience.
    • Demonstrated ability to motivate and train employees within a team-oriented environment.
    • Must be self-directed and able to work without close supervision.
    • Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Must have a solid foundation in food processing manufacturing (preferably baking).
    • Union plant experience preferred.
    • Strong communication, human relations, and safety awareness skills are essential.
    • Working knowledge of computers, including MS office applications.

    Responsibilities and Duties:
    • Administers the Master Sanitation Schedule and SSOP's, Directing the department and training new team members in the job functions.
    • Keeps a complete record of all cleaning tasks performed for verification of completion.
    • Directs plant sanitation procedures, programs and regulatory requirements ensuring all equipment is clean and safe for production.
    • Adheres to high sanitation, GMP, and safety standards. Must be capable to be trained in Lock Out Tag Out, fall risk protection, HACCP and narrow space entry.
    • Conducts in ATP swabs and environmental monitoring.
    • Must learn or know CIP functions on yeast tanks and brew systems.
    • Must learn or know flour intake and storage systems.
    • Follows and enforces programs and procedures outlined in the Food Safety and Quality Manual to support compliance with the FSSC V6 for Food Safety and other third part audits.
    • Reports immediately any malfunctioning equipment, safety hazards, and damages to the proper channels.
    • Oversee Pest Control and its procedures to ensure a pest free environment.
    • Sanitation Chemical Control to include but not limited to maintaining a master list of chemicals that are approved for use and the appropriate documentation such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
    • Must learn the union contract and act accordingly as outlined as a non-union employee.
    • Must be able to multi-task and change plan direction quickly.
    • Additional requirements to be given by the Plant Manager.
