    DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & MARKETING

    This is the lead position for Business Development (sales) and Marketing. The

    individual in this position is part of the Company Leadership Team and is responsible for all

    functions of business development and marketing, ensuring we are intentionally reaching new

    customers and markets, engaging with partners and customers, sharing our technical expertise

    and nurturing relationships, and therefore sales. This position reports to the Executive Vice

    President of Operations.

    Competencies (required education, training, skills, and/or experience):

    1. Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or related field and combined minimum seven

    years experience in marketing and business development (sales).

    2. Minimum five years experience leading, managing, and developing a marketing and

    business development team; proven strong leadership skills, and experience.

    3. Strong knowledge of current marketing and sales techniques and models and passion for

    both.

    4. Demonstrated strategic planning experience and capability.

    5. High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills.

    6. Strong proven project management experience with execution and delivery as per plan.

    7. Strong proven technical aptitude, including technical writing and presentation skills.

    Primary Responsibilities (functions, job duties, tasks, etc.):

    1. As a member of the Company Leadership team:

    Be characterized by philosophy and behaviors consistent with Company Core

    Values and Expectations of Leaders.

    Positively represent Company as an advocate of our mission, vision, values,

    strategy, culture, other Leaders and their teams, and decisions made by the

    Leadership team and Executive Leadership.

    Contribute to corporate strategic plan and develop objectives to execute

    strategies.

    2. Active, consistent, and persistent leadership and management of Company Business

    Development and Marketing teams; provide vision, strategy, accountability, responsibility,

    direction, goals, prioritization, inspiration, development, and recognition for teams.

    3. Ensure alignment of teams with a singular vision while maintaining unique identities,

    needs, and plans of each team.

    4. Research, develop, execute, measure, and maintain teams strategies and lead the

    corporate discussion on markets (domestic, international, product). Use VOC and

    research to make recommendations on new and existing products, applications, and

    markets.

    5. Understand teams competencies, demand, and capacity. Ensure current and future

    resource needs are met through regular assessment, planning, delegation, recruiting,

    hiring/firing, and training.

    6. Deliver exceptional execution of day-to-day operations, meeting or exceeding

    performance and quality goals and deadlines.

    7. Continuous improvement of, and monitoring compliance with, company and teams

    systems, policies, procedures, processes, ensuring effectiveness of key marketing

    messages and closing of sales opportunities.

    8. Oversee and participate in the key functions of Company Business Development, as

    applicable:

    Account Management

    Customer and Partner Nurturing

    Application/Technical Support

    Presentations for customers and industry conferences.

    Create and maintain technical documentation for internal and external use,

    including training, application documentation, case studies and application notes.

    Proactively and invitationally reach our industry with company mission.

    9. Oversee and participate in the key functions of Marketing, as applicable:

    Corporate brand management, communication, and modifications.

    Marketing/advertising campaigns.

    Trade show participation.

    Industry/market trends, competition, competitive products, and possible partners.

    Content generation and production across all media platforms. Examples include:

    branding, artwork, web graphics, advertisements, product documentation,

    technical literature, installation instructions, etc.

    10. All other duties as assigned.

    Organizational Relationships (primary contacts/interfaces):

    1. Reports to Executive Vice President of Operations.

    2. Oversees all Business Development and Marketing employees.

    3. Regular coordination with Executive Vice President of Culture and Formation.

    4. Regular contact with all Office employees.

    Physical Demands

    1. Work location is the Company headquarters in Madison, WI.

    2. Total travel estimated to not exceed 15%.

    3. Regularly required to sit.

    4. Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 70 pounds.
