Job DescriptionTITLE: Accounting Clerk
REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager
Purpose:
Follow detailed standardized procedures in performing accounting operations. Perform a variety of support duties related to the accounting functions within the credit union.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Proficiency in all EBS (Electronic Banking Services) related duties including processing ACH, Drafts, Wires, iPAY, reclamations, etc.
Prepare, pay, and file all accounts payable for the credit union. Research and resolve discrepancies
Prepare all corporate card expense reports
Perform a variety of activities to assist in maintaining the financial, statistical, and accounting records of the credit union.
Knowledge of daily balancing processes.
Analyze and reconcile the general ledger for various accounts as assigned.
Track and maintain fixed assets. Set up and run all prepaid and fixed asset items in the depreciation program.
Prepare various financial regulatory and special reports as requested by management.
Continuously enroll and benefit from related courses, webinars, conferences, etc. to further accounting skills development.
Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the credit union including, but are not limited to filing, tracking, and following up on member card disputes.
Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
