    Description

    The Project Manager will direct projects as part of a team in the design and construction of the airport renovation program located at the San Francisco International Airport airport.

    The Project Manager will be responsible for all phases of the project life cycle, including:

    Preconstruction – Interfaces directly with the client to define project requirements. Prepare scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.

    • Construction Management - Coordinates the various stakeholders of the project including but not limited to the owner, contractors, architects, engineers, airport authorities, vendors, etc. Leads meetings such as project coordination, design meetings and owner review meetings.
    • Project planning and scheduling – Reviews schedule prepared by contractors and architects for conformance with owner requirements. Identifies potential schedule impacts on airport operations and facilitates mitigation plans for these impacts.
    • Budget and cost control – Prepares owner financial reports including forecasting, reviews and approves architects and contractor invoices. Regularly reviews costs relative to the budget to enable improved financial performance.
    • Communication Management - Facilitate client-facing coordination and provide ongoing communication throughout the project.
    • Change Management - Implements change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure client approvals, and issue change orders. Assesses change requests to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk.
    • Risk Management - Demonstrates ability to identify project risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
    • Project Close-out - Leads overall project closeout process using best practice standards, tools, and processes such as the close-out punch list, financials, contracts, warranties, etc.

    Skills/Experience:

    • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic environment.
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
    • 5+ years construction management experience
    • Preferred experience working within airport environment
    • Experience managing contractors including Architect/Engineering firms and General Contractors
    • Experience working as an owner's representative on large construction Projects

    Education:

    · Bachelor's in engineering, Building Construction or related technical concentration

    · PMP certification is desirable

    · Courses in project management desirable

    · Must be proficient with the following applications: MS-Project, MS-Office
