Job DescriptionA large hospital located in Fairbanks, AK is currently seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join their team full-timeCheck out the details below:

Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist - RRT

Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire

Setting: Hospital

Location: Fairbanks, AK

Schedule: 12-hour clinical day shiftS (7:00am—7:30pm). Rotating schedule, some weekends, and holidays required

The Respiratory Therapist performs all modalities of respiratory care prescribed by physicians and/or licensed independent practitioners in accordance with established department/hospital policies and procedures.

Duties to include, but may not be limited to:

• Applies and manages mechanical ventilators in collaboration with physicians and/or licensed independent practitioners, recommending adjustments to improve clinical condition, patient comfort and to expedite the weaning process
• Assembles, disassembles, operates, maintains, troubleshoots, cleans, and performs adjustments in the applications of durable medical equipment and circuitry used in the delivery of respiratory care
• Performs pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing
• Performs patient assessments and evaluates patient response to care provided

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate's Degree, or technical degree required
• Proof of having passed the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• 2+ years of experience as RRT or CRT required.
• At least 1 year of RRT or CRT experience with PEDS and NICU required.
• PALS and NRP certification required.
