- Ensure compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
- Conduct periodic Safety Committee Meetings (Hazard Awareness, Training, Accident Review, etc.)
- Identify prevention, health and safety needs regarding risk assessment and legal requirements and recommend the required activities; develop policies, standards and procedures; ensure roll-out and the necessary training is conducted.
- Provide annual and department specific safety training or outsource as needed.
- Plan and conduct workplace management audits and inspections and recommend the appropriate corrective/preventative measures and actions; promote best practices.
- Investigate injuries as they occur and ensure all documentation is complete; advise management on problem correction.
- Design and implement a management dashboard (communication and follow-up)
- Work closely with Human Resources to discuss training needs, accidents/injuries, programs, etc.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations
- Ability to utilize MS Office computer software
- 1+ years experience with Health and Safety Management
- Must be able to work both individually and in team setting; strong project management skills.
- Previous experience (2+ years) in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Associates degree in Risk Management (or related) preferred.
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Preferred
