    We are the team that enables customers to purchase insurance policies direct online through the brands of THREE insurance and biBERK, which are proud to be a part of Berkshire Hathaway Insurance Group.

    We support our marketing initiatives by delivering personalized customer experiences and we support our back office by creating efficiencies and continual improvement around their processes.

    This role would be part of the R&D team for a fast-growing insurance technology leader. The goal is to help us build artificial intelligence algorithms, which replicate traditional human effort in insurance industry.

    The algorithms are built using a variety of tools such as machine learning, logic based coding, and utilizing third-party integrations.

    The algorithms are aided using our own data, third-party data, and expert input from various departments.

    In this role, you will be an integral team with outstanding communication, collaboration, and attention to detail.

    You will be counted on to build robust models, write functional code, and to work with others to research and develop solutions.

    ResponsibilitiesDevelop and update Artificial Intelligence algorithmsDevelop and update machine learning models including Natural Language ProcessingWrite clean, scalable code using our current technology stackParticipate and contribute with design, research, and technical discussionsDevelop strong partnerships with business teams and other groupsDemonstrate the ability to test and deploy algorithms and revise, update, debug, and refactor codeDeliver the required capabilities per Berkshire Hathaway standardsEnhance the software capabilities by continuous improvement and innovationQualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Related field or equivalent working experience.

    2 years of professional experienceAdvanced Python KnowledgePreferred Qualifications:
    Commercial Property and Casualty insurance experiencePractical working knowledge of Microsoft AzureStrong design, coding, debugging and problem-solving skillsOutstanding communication, collaboration capabilities, and attention to detailUnderstanding of architectural, design, and agile patterns and methodologiesExpertise with Machine Learning and either Python or RMasters in Data Science

    In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith compensation range estimate is being provided. The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $170,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
