    Title: Accounting Global Manager

    Reports to: Director, Finance Shared Service Center

    Department: Finance

    Classification: Exempt

    Position Summary:

    This role plans and directs the accounting operations of Monat USA and the global Shared Service Center ("SCC") headquartered in the USA that provides accounting and reporting support to all Monat affiliates internationally. This role is accountable for production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP). This role will primarily focus on overseeing and managing financial audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. In addition, will be accountable for providing timely and relevant financial reports and support the consolidation process.

    Responsibilities:


    • Hands-on management of the General Ledger and Month-end accounting close process.


    • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and financial consolidations in addition to financial/operational reporting.


    • Identify continuous improvement areas within finance and participate in continuous

    improvement projects.


    • Responsible for the preparation of regular monthly reports of corporate finance, statutory

    purposes, and local management.


    • Review balance sheet accounts reconciliation monthly.


    • Accountable for US GAAP reporting for Monat USA and internationally markets.


    • Oversee and manage the entire financial audit process, including planning, execution, and

    reporting, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.


    • Lead and coordinate with external audit firms, serving as the primary point of contact, and

    facilitate a smooth audit process.


    • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations, standards, and best practices, and

    communicate implications to relevant stakeholders.


    • Monitor relevance and accuracy of the different sources of information.


    • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system


    • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions


    • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    Education


    • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting


    • MBA preferred.


    • CPA preferred

    Experience, knowledge, and skills


    • 8-10 years of accounting experience and Financial Control experience


    • Proven experience with US GAAP reporting and knowledge on cost accounting.


    • Experience in cost accounting, preferably for manufacturing company focusing on personal care

    products


    • Experience with large ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a must, including Inventory and GL modules. Experience with new BI tools, such as Power BI or Tableau is a big plus


    • Proven ability to understand key business drivers and how to translate these into meaningful

    reporting


    • Demonstrated ability to operate in a culture of continuous improvement, process optimization,

    and intellectual curiosity


    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal


    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills


    • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity


    • Skilled at leveraging financial and business systems to monitor business activities and aid in

    decision making. Maintains working knowledge of data systems and applications
