    Overview:

    Master Halco, North Americas leading manufacturer/distributor of fencing and perimeter security products is seeking a Sales Support Manager - Decking Railing and Outdoor Structures.

    The Sales Support Manager (SSM) is responsible for hands-on sales support and product training to all levels of the field salespeople and managers to help them grow sales and profits in the Decking Railing & Outdoor Structures (DR&OS) category. The SSM provides hands on support by teaching Master Halco associates how to sell DR&OS products and assists with DR&OS program set ups and or expansion within their local markets.

    Responsibilities:
    • Research the new product opportunities for decking, railing, and outdoor structures (DR&OS) for Master Halco to determine the size (sales), scope, probability and effort/resource required
    • Execute the DR&OS program launch and/or growth with the field sales team
    • Provide sales support and product expertise to the sales team for all DR&OS product lines
    • Travel requirements: 50% - 75% (overnight and or air travel for branch visits, trade shows, supplier meetings, training, voice of customer engagements)
    • Represent company at trade association meetings to promote the Master Halco DR&OS Program
    • Work with Marketing Team to maximize effectiveness of all forms of marketing media
    • Summarize and reports DR&OS program efforts and progress to Senior Leadership
    • Keep abreast of competition and identifies potential acquisition targets for Senior Leaderships consideration

    Accountabilities:

    Sales Support, Training, Programs & Product Knowledge:

    • Travel to Master Halco Branches to assist with DR&OS program startups and/or growth by:
      • Conduct on the job sales & product training for inside, outside, and regional associates using principles of the Master Halco STEPS Training Program service culture
      • Hands on product knowledge and value proposition training
      • Joint sales calls with outside sales and/or management for training & sales development
      • Market analysis and sales strategy development
      • Enlists the help of additional internal and external resources when needed including Manufactures and Distributors
      • Uses sales tools such as software and other industry resources
    • Maintains and builds relationships with DR&OS (and adjacency) suppliers to grow engagement for Master Halco and create opportunities for Sales Promotions and new product opportunities

    Internal Training:

    • Create and execute DR&OS product training with sales team including but not limited to:
      • Incorporating the Master Halco STEPS training program service culture mindset to create customer serving value
      • Joint sales calls with field sales team to visit customers and provide on-the-job training
      • Product Positioning, value proposition. How to sell against competitive products
      • Hands-on training regarding usage and installation
      • Technical details that are relevant for selling the product
      • Product Features and Benefits, what separates it from the competition
      • Competitive product analysis and internal education
    Qualifications:
    • Excellent face-to-face sales, training and presentation skills with both small and large groups
    • Driven and results-oriented
    • Ability to support sales teams in new product expansion to meet company targets
    • Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
    • Creative problem solver with hands on engagement and solid business acumen

    Required Education and Experience

    • Bachelors degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience
    • Sales, Sales Leadership, and/or Sales Training Experience
    • Related industry experience preferred (outdoor living, decking, railing, fencing, or building materials)
    • Ability to travel as needed (50%-75% of the time)
