    Job Title: Lead Engineer

    Description:

    At CareerArc, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer to modernize our suite of applications and models. The successful candidate will lead and mentor a team of cloud and software engineers in developing and sustaining complex software systems.

    This position requires expertise in agile software development, advanced technologies, and systems engineering. You will be responsible for leading the development and sustainment of cloud-based services, REST API architectures, and simulation training at various levels.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and mentor a team of engineers in a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
    • Architect, develop, secure, implement, test, and lead software sustainment and development teams in C5ISR Modeling & Simulation (M&S)
    • Leverage extensive experience in full stack development, agile development methodologies, and associated artifacts

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience developing systems in C++ and Python
    • Experience with AFSIM, Web services, Database, and/or web application development
    • Experience working with cloud-based services (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure) and REST API architectures
    • At least 2 years of experience in military mission planning, operations, and wargaming
    • At least 2 years of relevant experience in simulation training at various levels working with the Air Operations Centers
    • Senior knowledge and senior hands-on experience in architecting, developing, securing, implementing, testing, and leading software sustainment and development teams
    • Extensive experience in full stack development, agile development, and artifacts
    • Experience in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Leaning / Reinforcement Learning (AI/ML/RL)

    Certifications:

    Required Certifications Include One Of The Following:

    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)

    Clearance Level:

    Active Secret clearance required

    Education:

    Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field; Advanced degree preferred
