    Summary: Performs work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, landscaping or the structure of an establishment in repair. Responsible for carpentry, plumbing, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment, and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs by performing the following duties.

    Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Applies knowledge and proper technique of building operation systems such as HVAC, plumbing, heating, electrical and any other related setup to perform maintenance, preventative maintenance and or repairs.*
    • Performs routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventative maintenance actions.*
    • Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines how to correct them, or parts catalog as necessary.*
    • Repairs equipment or structures using tools such as hammers, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.*
    • Responds to emergency situations under any adverse working conditions and makes informed and accurate decisions.*
    • Assembles, installs, or repairs wiring, electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.*
    • Requires the use of hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, straightedges, power tools, landscaping/lawn equipment, company vehicles or recreational vehicles.*
    • Orders parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers.*
    • Performs general cleaning duties of buildings or properties.*
    • Paints or repairs roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures.*
    • Records type, cost and nature of maintenance or repair work.*
    • Reports to supervisor any issues, concerns, or shortcomings.*
    • Follows job related safety regulations as prescribed by training guidelines.*
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
