    Job Description and Duties

    The California Horse Racing Board is looking for a Program Technician II to join our team. Do you want to work with a great dynamic team, in a fast-paced department? If so, this may be the position for you

    Under direction of the Enforcement and Licensing Unit, responsibilities include but are not limited to; issue horse racing occupational licenses according to laws, rules and regulations. Assist with the more complex and difficult licenses. Fingerprint and photograph applicants. Process financial statements. Prepare licensing sales reports and required deposits of monies collected. Process background fingerprinting of potential hires. Photograph new hires for their CHRB identification card

    The CHRB is a small to medium sized board with 54 total positions and an annual budget of $20M, funded by two special funds.

  • The incumbent works in a typical office environment, using one or more personal computers.
  • The incumbent works on the first floor of a two-story building.
  • This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
