    Role


    As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to innovate and deliver high-performance, low-power, stable connectivity platform for world class consumer products.

    You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment.


    In this role, you will:
    Design, develop and enhance Wi-Fi and networking software for Amazon's consumer products;
    Optimize Wi-Fi and network performance and power consumption for connectivity platforms;
    Engage with vendors to integrate Wi-Fi chipset solutions;
    Collaborate with other software teams to design and deliver unique customer features on top of Wi-Fi for next-gen Amazon products;
    Provide Amazon Customer Support technical assistance to trouble shoot customer issues;

    Basic Qualifications

    7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
    5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
    5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
    Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
    3+ years of hands-on experience in delivering Wi-Fi based products
    3+ years of experience and knowledge on IEEE802.11/Wi-Fi protocols such as Wi-Fi Direct, WPA, 802.11ac/ax, and etc.
    3+ years of experience in Wi-Fi development and debugging tools such as protocol analyzer

    Preferred Qualifications

    5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
    Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
    Have prior experience with Wi-Fi solutions from one or more major Wifi chipset vendors
    Strong knowledge of TCP/IP internals and common network protocols such as DHCP, DNS, HTTP, and etc.
    Knowledge with Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy protocols
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.

    The base pay for this position ranges from $134,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market.

    Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

    Amazon is a total compensation company.
