- Co-teaching 3rd-5th grade Orchestra classes and 1st grade general music
- Collaborating with Middle and Upper School Orchestra colleagues
- Preparing ensembles for concerts
- Participating in GMEA sponsored events
- Providing music for various HIES community events
- Organizing field trips as part of the curriculum and supporting other performing arts programs
- Other duties assigned by the Lower School
- Candidates should exhibit superb communication and leadership skills.
- Outstanding classroom management skills and rapport with lower school students.
- Qualified applicants will have degrees in music or music education and experience teaching in the lower school orchestra classroom.
- A master's degree and Georgia teaching certificate are preferred, but not required.
- A specialty in Cello or Bass preferred, but not required.
