    Site Reliability Engineer- GCP

    Excellent opportunity to be part of this high growth business unit rewriting a legacy application in the Google cloud


    This candidate will work with teams across the organization to secure and build new features as an SRE on this growing team.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    SRE or DevOps experience in managing customer-facing systems in 24/7 environment
    Work with Terraform to build new infrastructures and maintain existing Terraform infrastructures.
    Work cloud cost optimization, reducing cost by implementing resize, shutdown non peak hours, autoscaling and removing unused volumes etc.
    Containerization solutions Kubernetes, EKS & Docker along with DevOps tools Gitlab(CI/CD).

    Provide first-line technical support for Cloud Scenarios and/or build small logic scenarios/pilot projects/POC's to customers and showcase cloud capabilities for customer scenarios.

    Develop and deploy reliable, large-scale, services across multiple technology stacks
    Implement observability of systems for monitoring, alerting, and metrics reporting using DataDog.
    Generate reports regarding service metrics on performance, availability, and reliability.
    This is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity.

    Candidates will work 1 day in office per week and 4 days from home Successful candidates have a high level of initiative and thrive in a fast paced, enterprise environment.


    REQUIRED SKILLS:
    5+ years of experience developing and/or administering software in public cloud (GCP experience required)
    Experience in monitoring infrastructure and application uptime and availability to ensure functional and performance objectives
    Experience using tools such as Terraform | CloudFormation | Git | Kubernetes | Bash | Python
    Golang experience
    Demonstrable cross-functional knowledge with systems, storage, networking, security and databases
    Communicate asynchronously with a global team across multiple time zones
    Proficiency with continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling and practices
    Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills


    PREFERRED SKILLS:
    Groovy experience
    Expertise designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
    Very good experience in Cloud infrastructure architecture and networking concepts design complex solutions.
    Passionate for automation with a desire to eliminate toil whenever possible
    Built software or maintained systems in a highly secure, regulated or compliant industry
    Experience with Software methodologies like Agile and SCRUM.

    Must be authorized to work in the US. Sponsorships are not available.

    Pay range:
    $70-78/hour W2
