Cardiac Telemetry is a critical care unit for patients requiring continuous heart monitoring, including both chronic and acute cardiac and/or medical conditions.

The unit's most common types of patients are those with CHF, heart arrhythmias, chest pain, myocardial infarction, post pacemaker insertion, post cardioversion as well as patients who have experienced syncopal episodes, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, and electrolyte abnormalities.

The unit also cares for patients with chronic conditions such as COPD, CAD, diabetes, hypertension, and those on hemodialysis. Occasionally the unit will monitor pre- and post-surgical patients.

On-site central monitor station to oversee telemetry rhythms as well monitors at each nurse's station
32 bed unit with all private rooms
RN ratio of 4-5 patients with tech support
Daily Discharge Huddles with our Care Management Team
Critical Care Fellowship with both in-class and in-department orientation
Numerous continuing education opportunities

Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program

Licensure:

Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
