    Jiahui Guo ).The Lab Manager is expected to lead, implement, conduct, and analyze studies under the supervision of the principal investigator (PI) and provide research support for key laboratory personnel.

    This specific position will work on understanding human high-level perception using computational models and neuroimaging methods.
    Minimum Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in a related field. A minimum of two years experience with lab equipment and related facilities.

    Preferred Education and ExperiencePreferred Education and Experience:
    Bachelor's degree in computer science, psychology, cognitive science, EE, neuroscience, or a related fieldStrong technical background with solid coding skills, ideally in Python, Javascript, and MATLABTechnical knowledge of human neuroimaging techniques (e.g. fMRI) and experience with statistical data analysisExperience with online data collection and/or human neuroimaging data collection.

    Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties & Responsibilities:

    Technical Duties (50%): Write scripts with scientific programming languages (e.g., Python, Javascript, MATLAB ) and use deep neural networks (e.g.

    , AlexNet, VGG ) to implement stimuli preparations, experiment design, and analysesBuild and maintain the lab database creation pipelineDevelop and maintain the lab fMRI data collection and quality check pipelineAnalyze behavioral and fMRI data using standard software packagesProvide technical support for key laboratory personnelExperimental Duties (20%):
    Recruit, schedule, consent, run, and pay participants in online, in-person behavioral and in-person fMRI studiesResponsible for the careful documentation of the pipelines, experimental procedures, and resultsSummarize and present research resultsContribute to writing manuscripts describing research studiesAdministrative Duties (30%): Update and maintain documentation on laboratory policies, procedures, and resources in the lab manual/wikiPerform software and hardware maintenance and housekeeping on lab electronicsPurchase supplies, equipment, and services for the labSchedule lab meetings and other lab eventsHelp recruit, manage, and train undergraduate research assistantsDraft modifications and continuing reviews for IRB protocolsPromote personnel, experiments, and papers on lab website and use lab social media accountsOther duties as assignedEssential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent technical skills involving coding and debuggingMotivation to learn and master new methods and techniquesExcellent organizational, communication, and time management skillsAbility to record and report procedures and results with clarityPersistence, attention to details, and willingness to troubleshoot technical challengesAbility to apply critical thinking and sound judgmentsAbility to work collaboratively with othersPhysical ActivitiesWorking ConditionsAdditional InformationLength of Term: 12 months with potential for extension
