We are proud to be an outlet for opportunity and for personal growth and success.Job DescriptionAs the Director of Quality Assurance for Enterprise Solutions at Vuori, you will not only spearhead but also own the mission of ensuring the utmost quality and integrity of Vuori's enterprise solutions.
This is a "hands-on" leadership position that requires in-depth implementation and operating knowledge of test tools and test/automation software development.
The Enterprise Solutions quality assurance scope is broad and will expand over time.Examples include:
ERP, WMS, Wholesale Sales, EDI, and various integrations between these systems as well as to our retail and ecommerce platforms.
Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring these solutions receive seamless QA testing coverage that is efficiently and consistently integrated into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Working collaboratively with the core engineering teams and product and portfolio management team, you will lead the charge in devising, implementing, and refining QA strategies, policies, procedures, tools, and KPIs.
Your dedication to excellence will ensure that our business applications consistently meet and surpass the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Through continuous collaboration and by championing a proactive approach, you will serve as the guardian of Vuori's commitment to quality in its enterprise solutions endeavors.
Job Description:
Build and lead a high performing team of QA professionals.
Assess and recommend org strategy for the team, including which roles should be in-house vs contractors, onshore vs offshore, levels and skill sets.
Devise a wholistic QA framework that addresses test driven development standards, end-to-end testing, smoke testing, regression testing, performance testing, production deployment validations, production performance and data quality measurement, etc.
Establish best practices for test automation, automated test data creation, lower environment management and refreshes, release readiness, change control, release management, and production deployment validation.
Establish and enforce QE standards and best practices in collaboration with the Director of Enterprise Engineering.Assess, recommend, and implement tools and technologies to be leveraged within the QA framework.
Oversee the day-to-day work and career development of the QA team membersManage the capacity and throughput of the QA team to ensure sprint commitments are met.
Continuously improve internal team processes and coordination of work with other teamsReport status to senior engineering leadership and the product and portfolio management teamDevise KPI's to measure our QA outcomes and proactively report and act on these metrics.
Develop and implement QA strategies, tools, and a comprehensive set of test scenarios to ensure quality deployments to ERP, WMS, and other enterprise solutions.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including technology, operations, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and develop QA plans accordingly.Collaborate and align with software engineering to ensure intricate integrations and designs are adequately covered in tests, including edge cases.
Be embedded in the SDLC, working closely with development teams to ensure that QA is an integral part of the process.
Define and enforce QA standards and guidelines to ensure the quality and reliability of enterprise solutions.Establish and maintain QA processes, including test planning, test execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and implement data-driven strategies to enhance the quality, reliability, and performance of our business applications.
Develop and deliver training programs and materials to educate tech team members and business users regarding QA policies, procedures, and best practices.
Conduct regular QA audits and assessments to identify and address quality issues and ensure compliance with QA standards.Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in QA and apply them to enhance QA strategies and processes.
Provide guidance and support to QA team members and other stakeholders in resolving quality-related issues.QualificationsBachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or comparable professional experience. A master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience (8+ years) in QA management, with a focus on enterprise solutions such as ERP and WMS; must have QA experience with Microsoft D365.Strong knowledge of QA principles, methodologies, tools/technologies, and best practices; including how to test APIs, integrations, and packaged software enhancements.
Familiarity with business applications commonly used in the apparel industry or consumer packaged goods, such as ERP, WMS, and other enterprise solutions.
Hands-on proficiency in QA tools and technologies, including QA automation.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge of SDLC and experience working closely with development teams.
Hands on experience with QA automation tools, selenium web-driver, or related QA automation technologies.
Hands on experience with Postman.
Hands on QA programming experience.
