- Unlocks and opens building each school day
- Empties trash in all bathrooms, office and lounge
- Cleans and disinfects all sinks, toilets, urinals, soap holders, paper towel holders, and toilet dividers
- Cleans all mirrors
- Wet mops bathrooms
- Cleans water fountains
- Vacuums classrooms and mats
- Dust mops hallways and gym floors; use floor machine as needed
- Cleans up after school activities
- Locks doors and windows
- Communicates with head custodian regarding repair/maintenance needs
- Assists with electrical maintenance requests as needed
- Assists with plumbing maintenance requests as needed
- Maintains heating/cooling system as needed
- Assists with freight unloading and inter-building distribution
- Fields maintenance calls/requests from staff
- Clears sidewalks of snow/ice during winter months
- Serves as liaison with vendor who clears parking lots and driveways of snow/ice
- Buffs floors as needed
- Dusts rooms, hallways and bathrooms as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels
