    Description

    Position Summary:
    Ensure the continued functioning of electrical equipment by its proper installation, maintenance, and repair. Work as part of a team to improve plant reliability and efficiency. Daily communication with the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Planner to improve plant reliability.


    Responsibilities:
    Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and demos the electrical parts of industrial equipment and facilities
    Provide safe, reliable and efficient operation by observing the local, state, and national

    electrical-code regulations that pertain to the work being done

    Log time and material usage into CMMS for PMs and corrective maintenance
    Assists in supporting the company's preventative maintenance program
    Maintain proper housekeeping in all areas
    Assist in other areas of plant maintenance as required
    All other duties as assigned


    Basic Qualifications:
    Display skills equivalent to that of a Journeyman Electrician; Specifically, but not limited to:

    Installing and repairing electrical components such as electrical panels, breakers, wiring systems, and controls
    Bending and installing conduit
    Pulling wire for installs
    Installing an array of fixtures
    Threading and installing hanging anchors
    Cleaning circuit boards and contacts

    Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lift heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.
    Electrical troubleshooting knowledge
    Ability to understand schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents
    Knowledgeable in pertinent electrical codes and regulations
    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers at all levels
    Must exemplify the ability to work with minimal supervision. Self-motivated.
    Ability to demonstrate self-reliance in all aspects of maintenance
    Excellent customer service skills such as problem solving, timeliness, and follow-up- required
    Must be able to demonstrate the ability to enhance PM and PDM maintenance strategies


    Job Purpose:


    Maintains electrical systems by diagnosing electrical problems; installing and repairing wiring, parts, and components while working with and observing a senior electrician.


    Duties:

    • Learns to organize work by observing and studying work requests, blueprints, diagrams, and specifications; investigating, analyzing, and diagnosing problems; determining requirements.
    • Learns to repair electrical problems by observing and repairing and/or replacing faulty components, circuits, circuit boards, and devices.
    • Learns to install electrical systems and components by observing and studying designs, engineering specifications, and instructions; installing wiring, circuits, parts, and components.
    • Learns to test electrical systems by observing and conducting inspections and testing procedures.
    • Documents actions by observing and completing logs and records.
    • Maintains tools and equipment by observing and following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
    • Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
    • Learns to maintain safe work environment by observing and following equipment start-up and shut-down procedures; following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations and codes.
